Chuyang is a PhD student at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Bern, and he is a part of Communication and Distributed Systems (CDS) group. He received master degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, P.R. China, and received bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University, China.

He was a member of State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology (SKLNST), BUPT, Beijing, China . He was also a research assistant in Key Laboratory of Network Data Science & Technology, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.

He was a intern at Micro data information technology company in Beijing. Later, He and his partner Ke He established a startup company-Variational Network Technology Co., Ltd in Shenzhen, China.
